Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Cyber Network Engineer to monitor, maintain, and support a mission-critical network infrastructure. Responsibilities include upgrading, documenting, and analyzing network systems with cross-team collaboration.

The role requires TS clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a poly, plus hands-on experience with RMF/ATO and network security practices. Strong Cisco/Juniper proficiency is essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain poly.
• ISE: IAT-2 certification such as COMPTIA Security+.
• Experience troubleshooting using the OSI model.
• Experience wiring and deploying network hardware (ethernet, fiber, rack).
• Strong Cisco CLI and Juniper JunOS knowledge.
• Familiarity with RMF/ATO processes and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite engineering and admin support for a dev/test team while maintaining security standards.
• Develop and support systems for mission-critical infrastructure.
• Analyze existing networks and propose changes for efficiency.
• Create and maintain network diagrams and topology documentation.
• Collaborate with mission developers to deploy customer solutions.
• Maintain, test, and apply STIG configurations on network devices.
• Address security findings and Break/Fix events across the infra.
• Document SOPs and VISIO diagrams for operations.
