Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Staff Cyber Network Engineer to monitor, maintain, and support a critical network infrastructure. The role emphasizes Tier-2/3 support, documentation, and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will lead with strong RMF/ATO experience, contribute to secure network design, and engage with multiple teams to deliver mission-critical solutions. A TS clearance (SCI eligibility) is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• US citizen with an Active TS clearance and SCI eligibility
• 8+ years of experience in a relevant role or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• IAT-2 Certification and experience with RMF/ATO processes
• Strong troubleshooting across OSI layers and network devices
• Experience with virtualization and mixed OS environments

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite engineering and administrative support for a development and testing team
• Develop, implement and support mission-critical infrastructure solutions
• Analyze networks and propose changes to improve efficiency and security
• Create and maintain accurate network diagrams and topology documentation
• Collaborate with mission system developers to deploy solutions for customer needs
• Maintain and apply STIG configurations to network devices
• Respond to security findings and break/fix events across the infrastructure
