Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking experienced Cyber Engineers with expertise in embedded systems and communications platforms to join our Applied Research & Technology team. You'll lead cutting-edge cybersecurity research, develop security solutions for next-generation connected platforms, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has threat modeling, vulnerability research, OT/ICS security, and a track record partnering with customers and business leaders to identify

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance.
• Experience leading R&D projects from concept to tech demo.
• 5+ years developing and integrating multi-threaded embedded software (Rust, Ada, C, C++).
• 5+ years of full lifecycle software development practices, including configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical and strategic management of novel R&D projects in cyber physical security.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to develop, integrate, and evaluate new cybersecurity technologies.
• Conduct advanced technology demonstrations delivering early customer engagement and business impact.
• Participate in technical proposal preparation and government-sponsored research execution.
• Cultivate partnerships with technology stakeholders to ensure collaboration and alignment.
• Travel up to 10%.
