Job summary

Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure team is building File Storage Services for a high-scale, multi-tenant cloud environment. We seek hands-on engineers to design and implement distributed systems, focusing on reliability and performance in a scalable way.

You will work with a collaborative agile team to build features and tools for the File Storage Service, applying broad software engineering practices and contributing to the evolution of standard practices and procedures.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
• 6+ years’ experience developing commercial software in a distributed environment.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Go, Python, or C++.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals; strong understanding of databases, storage, and persistent technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
• Apply knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks such as developing, debugging, and designing software applications.
