Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Senior Principal Budget Analyst in Linthicum, MD for an onsite role with a 9/80 schedule. You will lead AMS budgeting activities, perform cost estimation, and present financial data to internal customers, including month-end close, variances, and forecasts.

The role emphasizes development of near and long-term sector strategy, oversight of material rates, and collaboration with Directors across locations. US Citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Accounting or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in cost control, financial analysis, or accounting.
• High level of understanding of government compliance.
• Experience with overhead rate preparation and analysis.
• Experience with SAP/S4 and Cognos budgeting systems.
• Strong data mining and database management with Excel/Access/Tableau/Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing budgeting activities for AMS Division.
• Develop monthly Indicated Finals and present financial data to internal customers.
• Oversee financial administration for the Sector’s Operations and develop near/long-term strategy.
• Provide financial oversight for projects and coordinate with sector directors.
• Prepare reports and analyze variances between actuals and budgets.
• Analyze trends and update forecasts monthly with budget owners.
• Work with Rates management and ensure recoverability in budgets.
