Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Subsystems Engineer to join our Avionics Integration Organization in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
The role focuses on installation, integration and troubleshooting of aviation subsystems, sub-systems, and related data recorders, with travel up to 25% and a Secret clearance requirement. Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance required or higher with recent BI or Continuous Evaluation.
- Experience with installation, integration and troubleshooting of aviation subsystems.
- Familiarity with sub-system, system and system-of-systems levels.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and use Windows/Linux.
Responsibilities
- Lead Subsystems Lab Integration and system integration/test development.
- Create and develop documentation for system requirements and interfaces.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate with subsystems engineers.
- Interface between Operations & Test and engineering teams.
- Ensure subsystem performance meets specified levels and manage field replacements.
- Contribute to process and design improvements and participate in risk management.
