Job summary

RTX / Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Deputy Program Chief to guide execution of the Future Systems product line. You will lead cross-disciplinary teams across Systems, Software and Hardware, ensuring certification and schedule commitments are met.

You will drive pursuit activities, mentor engineers, prepare bids and participate in program reviews. Strong leadership, EV management, and ARP-4754/DO-178 expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 10+ years’ experience or an advanced degree with 7+ years’ experience.
• Experience leading avionics engineering projects, systems or software development teams.
• Experience leading pursuit activities and presenting to customers and senior leadership.
• Experience with EV, cost/schedule/performance management and MS Project.
• Familiarity with ARP-4754 and DO-178 avionics certification requirements.
• Experience with project estimating, bidding and planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Future Systems product line execution plan across avionics domains.
• Drive pursuit activities and respond to customer RFPs.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead proposal efforts.
• Develop bids, estimates and program schedules; manage risk and opportunities.
• Track earned value, analyze variances and report program status.
• Represent Collins Aerospace to customers and stakeholders.
