Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer - Avionics Design Group to lead circuit design for flight-critical systems.

You will perform detailed board-level digital and mixed-signal design, select components for radiation-tolerant environments, and collaborate with senior engineers and other technical teams. Responsibilities include writing design and test documentation, developing qualification test procedures, and supporting supplier design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ digital / mixed signal design experience or Master’s with 6 years’ experience.
• Ability to work in an Agile project format, Jira and Git environments.
• Experience with Schematic capture and board layout.
• Familiarity with microprocessor and/or FPGA circuit design.
• Proficiency with circuit simulation including PSpice or LTSpice.
• U.S. Citizenship is required; ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead circuit design and development for programs; perform detailed board-level digital and mixed-signal design and analysis.
• Select components to meet stringent environments, including radiation effects.
• Write design and test documentation and support qualification testing.
• Oversee supplier design activity under senior engineer guidance.
