Job summary

Avicena Tech is recruiting a Senior/Principal Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer for microLED transmitter drives. You will own driver circuits from spec through signoff, collaborating with TX, optical device and layout teams in Sunnyvale, CA. Senior through principal level; title will match experience.

You will design high-speed drivers, pre-emphasis, DACs for drive-level and trim, and calibrate circuits while ensuring robust performance across PVT and layout signoff. Mentorship included.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering or BS with equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of analog/mixed-signal design.
• Taped-out high-speed transmitter or driver circuits (laser/VCSEL/LED/SerDes).
• High-speed driver and DAC design experience.
• Design in FinFET or advanced CMOS processes.
• Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre; post-layout verification.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate high-speed microLED driver circuits: output drivers, pre-emphasis and equalization, DACs for drive-level and trim control, bias generation and pulse shaping.
• Optimize dense driver arrays for matching, supply noise sensitivity and power per lane.
• Design calibration and trim circuits with the digital team.
• Work with the optical device team on LED electrical models and drive requirements.
• Verify designs across PVT and Monte Carlo, and take them through post-layout extraction and signoff with layout.
• Deliver behavioral models and correlate them with transistor-level results.
• Support silicon bring-up and correlate measurements with simulation.
