Job summary

JPMorganChase, CTO division, seeks a Senior Principal Software Engineer to own platform architecture and drive scalable, secure products across agile teams. You’ll lead design decisions, guide performance solutions, and mentor engineers building data ingestion pipelines, dependency graphs, and developer-facing APIs on AWS and Java.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Experience operating at both high-level architecture and hands-on coding.
• Proficient in Java and Python.
• Experience designing and scaling data-intensive platforms (ingestion, graphs).
• Experience with AI-first development and enterprise tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the platform architecture across data ingestion pipelines and APIs on AWS and Java.
• Serve as technical authority for design decisions, performance, and build-vs-buy calls.
• Partner with Engineering leadership on strategy and roadmap sequencing.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise the team's technical bar.
• Lead the strategy and development across multiple products and technologies.
• Create novel production code capabilities and drive platform delivery.
• Set standards for AI-enabled engineering, SDLC automation, and governance.
