Job summary

Slalom, LLC is seeking a Sr. Principal AI/ML to lead enterprise-scale AI programs across data products, retrieval pipelines, and model orchestration. You will define secure cloud-native and hybrid architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google, and guide AI strategy for generative, agentic, and multimodal use cases.

You will drive production GenAI adoption, establish evaluation and observability standards, mentor delivery teams, and shape enterprise AI roadmaps with executive-level impact.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience implementing ML/AI solutions in production, incl. generative/agentic AI.
• 5+ years in professional consulting or IT services leading complex engagements.
• Design and govern production AI systems with end-to-end architecture including security and UX.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for enterprise-scale AI systems spanning data products and orchestration.
• Define secure, scalable cloud-native and hybrid reference architectures across AWS, Azure, Google.
• Guide AI strategy across generative, agentic, multimodal use cases and knowledge assistants.
• Lead production GenAI adoption including RAG, tool calling, memory patterns, and prompts.
• Establish AI evaluation, observability, and reliability standards with testing and monitoring.
• Champion Responsible AI, governance by design, privacy, bias mitigation and threat modeling.
• Evaluate emerging models and platforms, delivering executive-ready recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams ensuring quality across complex programs.
• Drive business development through proposals, pitches, accelerators, and thought leadership.
