Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Senior Principal Discipline Engineer (m/f/d) for our Bietigheim location. You will lead the development of complex ADAS systems and E/E architectures, working with OEMs and internal teams to shape the Valeo System Roadmap.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience in ADAS, IVI products, and proven people management. The role emphasizes collaboration across global teams, technical mentoring, and creating long-term product vision aligned with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in development of complex ADAS systems and vehicle E/E architectures.
• Experience in IVI (Infotainment) products and related technologies.
• Proven track record in direct people management and leading cross-functional R&D projects.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, align organizations, and bridge silos.
• Systems-thinking mindset with ability to develop long-term product vision
• Strong networking across all levels of a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Customer Liaison: Build strong bonds with OEMs in coordination with Customer/Regional offices through technical expertise.
• Advanced System Analysis and Design: Define system architectures via structured analysis of System Use Cases for ADAS.
• Governance, Standards & Intellectual Property: Chair cross-domain expert committees for cross-PL solutions during RFIs/RFQs.
• SPP & Roadmap: Benchmark E/E topologies and propose concepts for Valeo System Roadmap and SPP.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Develop the team’s capabilities through line management and mentoring.
