Job summary

NetEase is seeking a senior action designer to create and refine in-game character actions across multiple styles, ensuring fluid motion and strong gameplay feel. You will work closely with the Lead Artist to set action style and produce design templates for the production pipeline.

The role requires deep understanding of animation principles, cinematography for animation, and at least 8+ years in action design for large-scale games, with teamwork and strong communication as essential traits.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in animation design; understanding of cinematography and camera techniques for animation.
• Excellent action design capabilities with ability to create smooth, dynamic performances.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Deep understanding of game feel (impact feel) in combat actions.
• 8+ years of professional experience in action design for large-scale games.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in 3D action design and production across multiple styles, with engine-related work experience.
• Participate in specific action design tasks and review action assets submitted by outsourcing partners.
• Responsible for designing in-game character actions, with in-depth analysis, understanding, and production experience regarding character motion principles.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Artist to define game action style, and produce action design templates and specifications.
• Possess strong communication skills and a cooperative attitude, coordinate throughout the entire production pipeline, and deliver the product's art quality.
