Job summary

NetEase Games is seeking a senior action designer to craft 3D character actions across multiple styles and collaborate with outsourcing partners and the Lead Artist. You will shape action style, produce templates and specifications, and ensure high-quality animation throughout the production pipeline.

Ideal candidates bring at least 8+ years of professional action design experience for large-scale games, strong teamwork, and deep understanding of game feel in combat actions.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in animation design; understanding cinematography and camera techniques for animation; strong grasp of body mechanics and movement rhythm for humanoid and non-humanoid characters.
• Rich imagination with excellent action design capabilities, able to create smooth and dynamic action performances.
• Strong teamwork awareness and good communication/collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with action games and deep understanding of impact feel (game feel) in combat actions.
• 8+ years of professional experience in action design for large-scale games.

Responsibilities

• Design in-game character actions and production across multiple styles with engine-related work experience.
• Review action assets submitted by outsourcing partners.
• Define game action style and produce action design templates and specifications with the Lead Artist.
• Coordinate across the entire production pipeline and ensure delivery of the product's art quality.
