Job summary

Labcorp in Greenfield, IN is seeking a Senior Animal Behaviorist to join the Primate team. You will collaborate with veterinarians, scientists and care staff to design and implement innovative behavior management strategies that support animal welfare and scientific excellence.

You will lead behavior studies, supervise training, analyze data, and present findings to clients and regulatory bodies. The role requires a strong background in GLP, primate behavior, enrichment and training, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required.
• 8+ years of professional animal research or related experience.
• 5+ years in behavior management with primates (Rhesus/Cynomolgus or common marmosets).
• 3+ years in a GLP environment.
• 1+ year experience in a multidisciplinary scientific team.
• Ability to communicate behavioral observations with professional terminology.

Responsibilities

• Ensure humane care and welfare of animals in biomedical research.
• Lead behavior management strategies, assessments and enrichment programs.
• Design behavioral studies and support development of new procedures and best practices.
• Lead data analysis of behavioral and welfare data and communicate findings.
• Collaborate with Study Directors, veterinarians, clients, and IACUC representatives.
• Provide training for staff and deliver presentations on behavior and welfare.
