Job summary

Vaco partners with a growing vehicle transportation technology company to enhance pricing strategy and analytics capabilities. We are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst with a strong automotive transportation background to drive pricing decisions across a large network of lanes.

The role focuses on analyzing costs, market changes, and data-driven insights to optimize profitability. Collaboration with Finance, Data Science, and Operations will be essential to translate analytics into actionable

Qualifications

5+ years of pricing analytics within automotive transportation or finished-vehicle logistics.
Direct experience in auto transportation required; general freight experience alone will not meet the requirement.
Strong analytical background, ability to work with large datasets, and translate findings into pricing recommendations.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI; Python or similar analytics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own pricing analysis across a large network of vehicle transportation lanes and determine competitive rates while protecting profitability.
Evaluate transportation costs and market changes, including carrier pricing, fuel costs, routes, capacity, and other cost drivers.
Analyze large datasets to identify pricing trends, patterns, margins, and lanes needing pricing adjustments.
Develop pricing models, reporting, and dashboards to enable data-driven pricing decisions.
Partner with Finance, Data Science, Operations, and other teams to improve pricing strategies and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
