Job summary

Winpak Control Group Inc. is seeking a Press Operator for the Printing Department in Norwood, New Jersey.

You will operate and maintain flexographic presses to produce high-quality printed materials meeting customer specs, ensuring color, registration, and print quality while adhering to safety, cGMP, and production standards. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of press experience (flexographic preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience operating a printing press in a manufacturing environment (flexographic preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications and perform basic math and metric conversions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust press equipment to meet quality and production goals.
• Read and interpret job spec sheets to ensure proper materials, inks, and tooling are used.
• Perform setup, color matching, register adjustments, and ink viscosity checks.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections for color consistency, print registration, and adhesion.
• Troubleshoot and correct printing, mechanical, or web handling issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, GMP, and housekeeping standards.
• Train, guide, and communicate effectively with press crew members and supervisors.
