Job summary

Mercy is seeking a childcare educator to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum using Project Construct Indicators, Developmentally Appropriate Practice, and Accreditation Standards. You will understand each child's needs and help them become integral to the group, fostering exploration and safe, nurturing play.

You will supervise the classroom and coordinate staff interactions while adapting activities to diverse learning styles, aligning with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be registered with the State of practice Family Care Safety Registry within 15 days of hire.
• 1 year child care experience preferred.
• Experience in an early childhood setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum utilizing established indicators and practices.
• Demonstrate understanding of each child's individual needs and support group participation.
• Supervise and manage the assigned classroom in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Coordinate staff/child interactions and adapt activities to meet learning styles with respect.
