Mercy Hospital South is seeking a full-time Teacher for the Child Care Center to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with accreditation standards and developmentally appropriate practice. You will supervise the classroom and coordinate staff interactions to ensure a safe, nurturing environment that supports each child's growth.

Qualifications

• Education: CDA, 9 college credit hours, Associates Degree, or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field.
• Licensure: Shall obtain at least (12) clock hours of approved child-care related training during each year of employment.
• Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Be able to communicate well, work with other people, and know what is developmentally appropriate.
• Equipment Used: Television, VCR, Filmstrip Projector.
• Preferred Experience: Prefer two years of experience with a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and carry through age-appropriate curriculum using Project Construct Indicators, Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Accreditation Standards.
• Supervise and manage the assigned classroom, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Coordinate staff/child interaction and activities to meet individual learning styles.
• Adaptations are provided to meet individual learning needs and promote positive relations with children.
