Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Presales Engineer who will architect high-impact Land Mobile Radio infrastructure and own the technical journey from scope to sale. You will guide customers and the sales team with design leadership, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure proposals meet mission-critical needs.

This role requires strong domain knowledge in wireless, IP networking, RF modeling, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of experience in sales, sales engineering, solutions architecture, military and/or public safety
• OR 8+ years of experience in sales, sales engineering, solutions architecture, military and/or public safety
• Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures - both public and private (e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) is highly desirable
• Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security is highly desirable
• Knowledge of RF coverage predictions, trafc/capacity modeling, and related toolsets is an asset
• Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Developing comprehensive system designs and detailed technical diagrams
• Calculation of power and networking requirements
• Participation in proposal reviews and contract negotiations
• Delivering compelling technical presentations to executive stakeholders
• Coordination with the various functional teams to ensure all business unit goals are addressed in our proposals and win-strategies
• Crafting strategic implementation approaches and service plans to secure project wins
• Meeting/exceeding customer requirements and providing value alternatives when requirements cannot be met
• Managing to Motorola's sales, revenue and margin goals
• Driving all sole source & RFP projects to completion managing the schedules of each project team member
