Job summary

Pylontech is seeking an experienced pre-sales Engineer to support medium- to large-scale energy storage projects in the United States. You will perform requirements research, design solutions, model economics, and coordinate resources to move projects toward awards and execution.

The role demands in-depth knowledge of battery systems, PCS, BMS, and EMS, plus a proven track record of delivering 5 MWh+ storage solutions. Travel to customer sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 3+ years of pre-sales or technical project development experience in the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of energy storage systems including battery packs, PCS, BMS, and EMS.
• Experience designing storage projects with 5 MWh capacity or more.
• Excellent customer communication and relationship management skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Job description

1. Independently provide technical pre-sales support for medium- to large-scale energy storage projects, including requirements research, technical clarification, solution design, equipment selection, and economic modeling.

2. Manage the full pre-sales project cycle, coordinating internal and external resources to resolve technical challenges, maintain project progress, and support successful project awards and contract execution.

3. Track regional technology trends and policy developments, including grid interconnection requirements, safety standards, and incentive policies, and collect and organize relevant industry information.

4. Participate in product and solution optimization by analyzing market needs and providing feedback on solution adaptability and areas for improvement.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

2. 3+ years of pre-sales or technical project development experience in the new energy or power industry. Experience supporting large-scale project solution design and implementation is preferred.

3. Strong understanding of energy storage systems and their applications, including battery systems, PCS, BMS, and EMS, with the ability to design energy storage project solutions.

4. Required: Demonstrated experience developing and delivering energy storage projects with a capacity of 5 MWh or greater.

5. Strong customer communication and relationship management skills.

6. Willingness to travel as required.
