Job summary

HyperStrong, a global leader in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), seeks an experienced Application Engineer to join its Technical Solutions team in North America.

In this role you will bridge customers, sales and engineering by developing technical solutions, supporting proposals, and ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales through Notice to Proceed (NTP). Travel 25–50% for customer meetings and project support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, or EPC industries.
• 3+ years in Application/Systems/Project Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge of BESS, system integration, and thermal management.
• Familiarity with industry standards (UL, NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA).
• Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical support through pre-sales from customer engagement to NTP.
• Review RFPs and specs to develop optimized technical solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, layouts, single-line diagrams, and docs.
• Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, and local codes.
• Perform feasibility studies, gap analyses, and solution reviews.
• Collaborate with Product Management and R&D to improve products and certifications.
• Provide guidance on BESS, PCS, controls & communications, thermal management, and system integration.
• Deliver technical presentations to customers and support industry conferences.
