Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Presales Quoting professional in the United States (San Diego, CA) to configure quotations, define system specifications, and support sales with accurate proposals. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of related experience in sales, customer success, marketing, project/program management, presales business management, business development, deployment/support, and/or emergency call-handling.
• Excellent presentation skills preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Excel, Word, drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar).

Responsibilities

• Configure and produce quotations based on system requirements from presales documents, sales engineering, and customers for products and systems.
• Provide configuration options and system specifications.
• Maintain current knowledge of Motorola Solutions products and interoperability requirements; collaborate with systems engineering, product teams, and sales engineering to align customer and sales needs.
• May maintain product configuration tools.
• Ensure accuracy of configuration and system requirements on customer orders.
• Research and resolve issues from complex or custom configurations and orders.
• Develop a consistent approach to RFPs, proposals, and quoting with proper documentation.
• Manage cross-functional teams across Sales, Engineering, and Product to deliver timely quotes and proposals.
• Create detailed project schedules and ensure solutions align with sales strategy.
• Interface with PM Resource Managers, Sales Managers, Engineering Managers, Presale Project Planners, and Senior Division Staff to coordinate presale activity.
• May assist in developing business plans and approaches to seize opportunities.
• Interface with public safety customers, subcontractors, and Motorola Solutions employees via meetings or calls.
