Faith Technologies Inc. is seeking a Senior Preproduction Engineer in Kansas to collaborate with the Preproduction Manager, Project Managers, and Estimating team to translate construction information into the production process.

The role designs and develops pricing and design solutions from concept to detailed drawings, mentoring direct reports and guiding project teams to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 5+ years mechanical/MOFE or CAD/Revit/Accubid experience; manufacturing/construction preferred.
  • Travel: 10-20%.
  • Work Schedule: 6 am–6 pm, Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project and preproduction estimates and proposals.
  • Coordinate design activities with consultants, subcontractor partners, and clients.
  • Lead front-end of projects, manage multiple priorities.
  • Represent the company to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in conceptual design with internal/external teams.
  • Review and maintain engineering drawings and models for production alignment.
  • Resolve design issues and BIM conflicts.
  • Identify building methods and breakdown manufacturing drawings for production.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability and installation efficiency.
  • Support development and implementation of company processes and standards.
  • Capture and apply lessons learned from projects.

The Mechanical Senior Preproduction Engineer will collaborate with the Preproduction Manager, Project Managers, and Estimating team members to prioritize and translate construction information into the production process. This position is responsible for designing and developing value‑added technical pricing and design solutions from concept through completion of detailed drawings. The Senior Preproduction Engineer will also guide and mentor direct reports, ensuring their success and development.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Experience: 5+ years of Mechanical or MOFE experience or Entry level CAD/Revit or Accubid experience and 5 or more years of Manufacturing and/or Construction experience preferred.
  • Travel: 10-20%
  • Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Participates in conceptual design, collaborating with internal and external teams to facilitate project design, documentation, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Reviews and maintains engineering and manufacturing drawings and models to ensure alignment with production and project requirements.
  • Proactively resolves design issues and BIM conflicts.
  • Identifies building methods and breaks down manufacturing drawings for production.
  • Optimizes designs for manufacturability and installation efficiency.
  • Supports the development and implementation of company processes and standards.
  • Captures and applies lessons learned from previous projects or products on sequence, duration, logistics, and work package content.
  • Supports FTI leadership with project coordination and execution.
  • Adjusts builds to streamline installation and creation.
  • Standardizes print information.
  • Verifies specifications and submittals for building methods.
  • Supports the development of Excellerate processes.
  • Demonstrates approachability, collaboration with others, and effective influence.
  • Understands overall Excellerate direction and capabilities.
  • Does other related duties as required and assigned.
