Job summary

Proof of the Pudding seeks a Director of Premium to lead high-volume catering for sports and entertainment events in Austin, TX. You will oversee premium hospitality suites, catering events, and food service operations year-round, ensuring top-quality food, service, and client satisfaction.

You will mentor managers and staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with culinary and sales teams to execute bespoke menus and layouts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of F&B leadership in live entertainment or high-volume catering.
• Experience in raceways, stadiums, or high-volume events preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with BEO software is preferred.
• Must live near or relocate to Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Oversee catering operations for event planning, execution, and quality.
• Manage and develop leadership teams; mentor managers and hourly staff.
• Lead event teams, set standard for uniforms, service policies, and workplace culture.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and P&L tracking; flag variances to Senior Director.
• Assist with purchasing per BEOs and communicate deliveries.
• Coordinate product ordering and logistics; oversee equipment and inventory.
• Be the face of the brand on event days with professional service.
• Lead regular cross-functional meetings with Sales, Operations, and Culinary teams.
• Prepare organizational docs: pull sheets, service charts, menu signage, linen orders.
• Ensure equipment distribution, populate pack sheets, venue CADs, and signage.
• Attend events from setup to breakdown; hands-on management on site.
• Assist with staff training and event-day organization.
• Coordinate with culinary on food timelines and shortages.
• Oversee equipment cleanup and linen return; ensure proper handling.
• Maintain inventory of specialty equipment and sanitation practices.
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance at all times.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
