Duties
- Manage a high-volume prelitigation caseload from intake through pre-suit resolution.
- Analyze liability, damages, medical records, and supporting documentation on complex claims.
- Develop case strategies, prepare demand packages, and monitor carrier responses.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the prelitigation process.
- Collaborate with insurance companies, legal team members, and medical providers to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
- Educate clients on procedures, timelines, and expectations.
- Address client concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing parties.
- Evaluate offers, advise clients, and prepare settlement agreements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and firm policies.
- Maintain organized electronic case files and track deadlines.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Connecticut and in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plaintiff's personal injury, insurance defense, or civil litigation required.
- Advanced negotiation, analytical, and legal research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
