Job summary

Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking an Attorney to join a boutique plaintiff personal injury litigation practice in Hartford, CT. The attorney will independently manage a plaintiff PI caseload from intake through resolution, handling discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and trial while delivering excellent client service.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of plaintiff PI experience, CT bar license, and a proven ability to own a matter from intake to resolution in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Bar license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience; 10+ years encouraged.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Experience handling depositions, discovery, motion practice, mediations, court appearances, settlement negotiations, and trial.
• Strong legal writing, courtroom advocacy, client communication, and time management skills.
• Workers' compensation experience preferred.
• Medical malpractice experience a plus.
• Candidates who can immediately assume responsibility for an active litigation caseload preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a plaintiff personal injury litigation caseload from intake through final resolution.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations, court appearances, and trial.
• Manage motor vehicle accident and premises liability matters.
• Work directly with clients throughout the litigation process while providing exceptional communication and client service.
• Collaborate with experienced attorneys on case strategy and complex legal issues while maintaining ownership of your caseload.
• Supervise and work closely with an assigned paralegal and receptionist.
• Manage an initial caseload of approximately 100 files, growing to an average of 150 active cases after ramp-up.

• Base Salary: $80,000 - $150,000 annually.
