Job summary

Niche SSP - No.1 for Estimating Talent in New York/New Jersey is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Technology Engineer to join its team. You will work hands-on with estimating teams to prepare conceptual and detailed estimates, and develop interactive client-facing dashboards.

You will pilot AI-enabled workflows, improve access to historical cost data, and support digital tooling adoption across offices. Travel is under 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in data visualization technologies such as Power BI.
• Expertise in Revit, SketchUp, and AutoCAD, with knowledge of Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Strong proficiency in Power Apps, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
• Developing expertise in AI agents and workflow automation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to train teams on digital tools.
• Experience with Sage or Beck DESTINI Estimating and graphic design would be advantageous.

Preconstruction Technology Engineer | New York / New Jersey | $160,000

As a Senior Preconstruction Technology Engineer, you will work hands‑on with estimating teams to prepare conceptual and detailed estimates, develop interactive client‑facing dashboards, and integrate cost information with BIM models. You will also pilot AI‑enabled workflows, improve access to historical cost data, and support teams in adopting new technology.
