Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a seasoned construction executive to lead customer advisory and preconstruction strategy within a venture-backed technology company. This high-visibility role blends deep construction expertise with executive consulting to drive operational transformation across large construction programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years leadership experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, capital projects, consulting, or enterprise technology serving the built environment.
  • Experience advising executive stakeholders within owner organizations, developers, contractors, engineering firms, or construction consulting environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction operations with expertise in one or more core project delivery disciplines.
  • Track record leading business transformation, operational excellence, or digital modernization initiatives.
  • Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, relationship management, and presentation skills.
  • Experience collaborating across technical and business teams to deliver customer focused solutions.
  • Exposure to enterprise construction technology platforms, workflow automation, AI, or digital innovation initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Self-directed leadership style with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as trusted advisor to executive leaders across major construction and infrastructure organizations.
  • Lead executive discovery workshops that uncover operational challenges and define business transformation strategies.
  • Guide enterprise customers through technology modernization, process improvement, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Provide expertise across preconstruction, estimating, project management, engineering, procurement, scheduling, field operations, and operational excellence.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure customer priorities influence future platform capabilities.
  • Support strategic customer engagements, executive presentations, and complex solution discussions.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, executive forums, and customer workshops while serving as a recognized thought leader.
  • Help establish and expand a customer advisory and consulting function that supports long-term business growth.

  • Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, capital projects, consulting, or enterprise technology serving the built environment.
  • Demonstrated experience advising executive stakeholders within owner organizations, developers, contractors, engineering firms, or construction consulting environments.
  • Strong understanding of construction operations with expertise in one or more core project delivery disciplines.
  • Track record leading business transformation, operational excellence, or digital modernization initiatives.
  • Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, relationship management, and presentation skills.
