Job summary

Sundt Enterprise in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead risk management during the preconstruction phase. You will oversee preconstruction teams, manage client and internal partner expectations, and ensure timely, high-quality estimating deliverables for assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• Ideal candidates will have project experience in one or more key market sectors identified by the business unit.
• Proficient in the use of P6 and demonstrates skill in Critical Path Scheduling
• Proficient in the use of an Enterprise Project Management Systems.
• Proficient in the use of commonly used industry estimating software programs.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Successful history executing projects as the prime point of contact with minimal oversight for project teams. Preconstruction Project Manager I: projects valued to $50Mb. Preconstruction Project Manager II: projects valued in excess of $50M
• Ten or more years of experience in an estimating role.

Responsibilities

• As assigned, performs both basic and advanced estimating tasks as necessary to manage the flow of work in the department.
• Oversees the development and execution of project scope management and procurement plans.
• Demonstrates risk management planning, analysis, and monitoring on projects.
• Ensures compliance with owner contracts and project quality, safety, and environmental plans.
• Ensures timely, professional, and branded deliverables on assigned projects.
• Manages client and internal partner expectations regarding workflow and schedules.
• May serve as Design Manager during pursuits and design phases on certain projects.
• Provides detailed reviews of estimates to align costs with market conditions.
• Oversees development of key preconstruction deliverables and cost models.
• Collaborates on project management plan components to ensure successful execution.
