The successful candidate will lead a team of estimators and engineers, collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors, and implement value engineering and BIM processes to improve profitability and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management in the construction industry.
• Experience with design-build or integrated project delivery (IPD) methods.
• Proven track record of successfully managing preconstruction activities for large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in construction estimating software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction planning with detailed project plans, scopes, and schedules.
• Manage estimating by analyzing project documents, conducting quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, and developing budgets.
• Identify risks and opportunities; develop strategies to mitigate risks and improve profitability.
• Serve as primary client contact during preconstruction; maintain relationships and manage expectations.
• Mentor junior estimators and project engineers; foster a collaborative team environment.
• Lead value engineering to identify cost-saving options without compromising quality.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to review plans and specifications.
• Oversee preparation and submission of preconstruction documentation, bid packages, and schedules.
• Monitor market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
• Pursue continuous improvement of processes, tools, and techniques.
