Job summary

McGough, a respected partner in complex construction, seeks a Preconstruction Manager in Raleigh, NC. You will lead preconstruction activities, coordinate design development with clients, architects, engineers and McGough teams, and manage scope and budgets across multiple projects from concept through GMP.

The role requires a degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management, 15+ years of experience on large projects, strong communication, and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 15 years of experience with large and complex projects, including ground-up work.
• Ability to relate to and understand owner/client, design consultant and contractor issues.
• Knowledge of building systems, coordination and regulatory issues (structure, MEP, landscape, FLS, code, ADA).

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects through preconstruction and design development to GMP.
• Coordinate BIM/VDC and McGough resources with design teams and clients.
• Develop project scope, budgets and delivery strategies with stakeholders.
• Foster collaboration among owners, architects, engineers, and contractors.
