Job summary

McGough Construction is seeking a Preconstruction Manager to provide comprehensive preconstruction services in partnership with our project management team. You will serve as a bridge between owners, designers, engineers, and subcontractors, guiding projects from concept through GMP while managing interfaces and producing collaborative, timely results.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience on large, complex projects, with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience on large, complex, ground-up projects.
• Broad skill set to relate to owners, design consultants and contractors.
• Understanding of building systems, coordination and regulatory issues (structure, MEP, ADA, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction for multiple projects from conception through GMP.
• Coordinate BIM/VDC with internal teams.
• Support pursuit and business development activities.
• Manage interfaces among owners, architects, engineers and contractors.
• Oversee design development and cost considerations.
• Mentor junior staff and lead project teams.
