Job summary

The Ravin Group in Louisville, KY is seeking a Preconstruction Manager with 10+ years of preconstruction experience to join our growing team. This full-time, in-person role focuses on leading design-phase estimates and budgets.

Responsibilities include GMP and lump-sum bidding, coordinating estimating, scheduling, and purchasing, and building strong client and subcontractor relationships. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent of at least 2 years of engineering/architectural training or 10 years in construction.
• Experience with heavy civil and concrete/rebar and multiple building types.
• Knowledge of accounting, estimating, scheduling, purchasing and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual, schematic, design development estimates, GMPs and lump sum bids.
• Estimate and lead estimating group on design-phase costs.
• Read drawings and specifications; develop and monitor preconstruction budget.
• Coordinate estimating, scheduling, and purchasing for preconstruction.
• Review assumptions and clarifications; build client and team relationships.
• Formulate unit prices; perform scope analysis and identify deficiencies.
• Create construction schedules for estimates; multi-task under deadlines.
