Job summary

United Future is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead commercial project estimates from start to finish in Columbus, OH. This role focuses on driving the preconstruction phase, building key client relationships, and presenting cost information with clarity and confidence.

You will collaborate with estimators and design teams to develop comprehensive estimates, perform takeoffs, and guide value engineering while maintaining market awareness and competitive pricing.

Qualifications

5-10 Years (Commercial Projects) experience required.

Responsibilities

Lead, create, and complete entire project estimates.
Perform detailed On-Screen Takeoffs.
Develop preliminary preconstruction schedules.
Formulate Value Engineering (VE) ideas and costs.
Research specified materials and source viable alternatives.
Review, analyze, and correct estimates by team members.
Manage project staffing and General Condition requirements.
Maintain expert knowledge of current market and unit pricing.
Build and manage qualified Subcontractor Bid Lists.
Proactively call subcontractors and drive them to bid.
Analyze incoming bids and detailed scopes of work.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with subcontractors.
Build strong relationships with Owners and Architects.
Prepare professional presentation documents.
Confidently present cost information and estimates to clients.
