Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead commercial project estimates from start to finish in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on driving the preconstruction phase, building key relationships, and presenting critical cost information to clients.

We value 5–10 years of experience on commercial projects and offer relocation assistance. The position includes an annual salary ranging from $130,000 to $160,000 plus bonuses, with discussion based on experience.

Qualifications

• Lead, create, and complete entire project estimates.
• Perform detailed On-Screen Takeoffs.
• Develop preliminary preconstruction schedules.
• Formulate Value Engineering (VE) ideas and calculate costs.
• Research specified materials and source viable alternatives.
• Review, analyze, and correct estimates prepared by team members.
• Manage project staffing and General Condition requirements.
• Maintain expert knowledge of current market and unit pricing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, create, and complete entire project estimates.
• Drive preconstruction phase, present cost information to clients.
• Develop preliminary preconstruction schedules and VE ideas.
• Manage subcontractor bid lists and qualifications.
• Present polished documents to Owners and Architects.
