CAMP Facility Services is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to own budgeting, competitive buyout, and project commitments for all operations projects in the Houston market. This role bridges sold work and built work, ensuring budgets are buyable before subcontractors mobilize.

You will coach Project Managers on budget discipline, support Sales/Estimating, and drive margin performance while maintaining standardized preconstruction processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction preconstruction or project management.
• Experience with competitive subcontractor buyout and negotiation.
• Ability to read and manage detailed budgets and cost sheets.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial discipline.
• Familiarity with subcontract terms and purchase orders.
• Ability to influence Project Managers without direct authority.

Responsabilités

• Own the project budget from Sales/Estimating handoff through preconstruction.
• Lead subcontractor and material buyout and track savings.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders before mobilization.
• Manage RFIs and ensure proper budget updates.
• Support Sales, Estimating, and Operations with constructability and risk assessments.
• Develop realistic project schedules aligned with field execution.
• Lead buyout review sessions and drive issue resolution before work begins.
