CORE is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager/Estimator in California to lead the preconstruction lifecycle for high-value public sector projects (K-12, higher ed, civic) delivered via design-build and CM at Risk. You will manage concept through GMP, mentor staff, and serve as the primary client contact across multiple offices in a fast-paced, client-facing role.

• 10+ years of progressive experience in construction estimating and preconstruction management with GC/CM/DB firm.
• Experience leading GMP development and negotiation on design-build projects.
• Strong track record on California public sector projects (K-12, higher ed, civic).
• Proficiency with standard estimating tools and cost databases.

Responsabilidades

• Own preconstruction strategy and execution for large, complex public sector bids from concept to GMP.
• Lead client relationships and serve as primary preconstruction contact.
• Review and sign off on GMP packages and cost estimates from estimators.
• Lead subcontractor bidding, review, negotiation, and buyout on high-value packages.
• Identify and mitigate project risks in cost, schedule, constructability, and scope.
• Lead constructability reviews and value engineering to protect budgets.
• Mentor junior estimators and preconstruction staff.
• Support major pursuit proposals with cost strategy and client presentations.
• Collaborate on department standards and continuous improvement.
• Maintain organized project files and cost databases; ensure compliance with CA public contract law and prevailing wage.
