Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking an Industrial/Mechanical Preconstruction Manager with strong experience in industrial and mechanical projects. You will guide the preconstruction phase, coordinate with design teams, and drive cost and schedule predictability to ensure profitable project hand-offs.

Ideal candidates will have eight years of estimating or project management experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and a background in BIM/LEAN practices to optimize performance and value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum eight years' experience in estimating and/or project management in industrial construction.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy of estimating, scheduling, strategy and communication throughout preconstruction.
• Coordinate building systems with trade partners, operations and design/build teams to plan and budget safety for each project.
• Lead preconstruction meetings and drive standardized operating practices across units.
• Establish relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors; oversee hand-off to construction.
