Job summary

DataBank Holdings Ltd. seeks a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead front-end planning, cost development, and schedule scenarios for data-center projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will partner with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Project Controls, and Engineering to establish baselines and translate early design intent into solid cost and schedule recommendations. Strong communication with executive stakeholders is essential for project approvals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project controls within commercial construction; data center or mission-critical experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience building conceptual/budgetary pricing and schedule models for projects not yet in design.
• Experience running or substantially supporting a formal RFP process, including bid leveling and GC/subcontractor evaluation.
• Comfort working with incomplete or evolving scope and translating early design intent into defensible cost and schedule ranges.
• Working knowledge of Procore (or comparable project management platform) and strong Excel/financial modeling skills.
• Ability to communicate directly with Corporate Development and executive audiences on feasibility and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end planning and preconstruction, developing project cost, schedule, constructability, assumptions, and commercial inputs.
• Collaborate with Corporate Development on early-stage cost and schedule feasibility for capitalization decisions.
• Translate design standards and Change Log decisions into schedule and cost assumptions for future projects.
• Build and maintain parametric schedule models applicable to new opportunities.
• Develop budgetary and conceptual pricing models including per-MW cost benchmarks and cash flow modeling.
• Lead or support the RFP process for future projects and bid leveling.
• Coordinate with GC and design partners during RFP to validate pricing and scope.
