Job summary

Graycor Construction Company seeks a Senior Construction Estimator to apply high-level expertise in securing work with new and existing clients and to lead detailed contract proposals. You will develop estimates across conceptual to construction document levels, perform takeoffs, solicit vendor pricing, and guide bid teams through pricing discussions.

Qualifications

6–8 years of relevant construction estimating experience in commercial building markets.
Bachelor degree is highly preferred but experience may substitute.
Must be capable of leading estimates of varying sizes and delivery methods.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with subs, vendors, and teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates at multiple levels of completion (conceptual, schematic, DD, CD).
Perform takeoffs and determine labor, material, and equipment costs; solicit pricing from vendors/subcontractors.
Lead multiple bid teams and review proposal specs/drawings using BIS and other info.
Research, negotiate, and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects; ensure insurance requirements.
Participate in pre-job meetings with project management to align on scope and approach.
