Job summary

Graycor Construction Company is seeking a Preconstruction Estimator to lead detailed contract proposal estimates, post-award purchase orders and subcontracts across a broad range of construction projects. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include preparing bid proposals, takeoffs, reviewing specs and drawings using BIS, bidding and pre-construction services, and negotiating purchases.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of relevant construction estimating experience in various general commercial building markets.
• Bachelor degree is highly preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble bid proposals with detailed estimates and vendor/subcontractor pricing.
• Review proposal specifications and drawings using BIS.
• Participate in bidding and pre-construction services; attend pre-bid meetings.
• Research, negotiate and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects.
