Job summary

BL Harbert International, LLC is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Estimator to lead the full preconstruction and estimating process for commercial projects in the Birmingham area. You will guide budgets, schedules, and bid proposals, working with BD, design partners, and operations to develop robust estimates.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and proficiency with Timberline Estimating and On-Screen Takeoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or 10+ years preconstruction estimating experience.
• Experience leading estimating teams and coordinating with operations and design partners.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver accurate estimates in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction strategy, budgeting, and bid development for commercial projects.
• oversee quantity takeoffs, pricing, and subcontractor solicitation.
• Coordinate with BD, design partners, and operations to align estimates with project goals.
• Ensure accuracy, constructability input, and risk assessment throughout the estimate.
