Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned Pre-Construction Estimator to join our Birmingham, AL team. In this role you will lead day-to-day pre-construction execution for pursuits and projects, coordinating estimating, scheduling, design collaboration, and procurement input through final pricing.

• Bachelor's degree required with at least five years of related experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated in project teams.
• Proficient with standard pre-construction software tools and estimating apps.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day pre-construction execution for pursuits and projects, coordinating estimating, scheduling, design collaboration, and procurement input through final pricing.
• Develops and manages conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates with complete scope, quantities, and pricing.
• Prepares conceptual budgets and estimate analyses to support pursuit positioning and customer discussions.
• Coordinates with operations, design management, procurement, and scheduling to support constructability and logistics planning.
• Engages with customers, designers, trade partners, and vendors to clarify scope and validate assumptions.
• Analyzes proposals to confirm scope alignment, identify gaps, and support defensible pricing.
• Identifies risks and cost drivers, escalating issues to senior pre-construction leadership.
• Leads and coordinates pre-construction staff, coaching team members to improve performance.
• Applies approved pre-construction tools and best practices to ensure consistency across the team.
