Job summary

ewi Recruitment is seeking a Senior Preconstruction and Estimating Manager to lead estimating activities for commercial and multifamily construction from early concept through contract award.

You will provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and accurate cost advice while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, PMs and trade partners. A degree in CM/engineering/architecture is preferred; strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commercial or multifamily estimating and preconstruction management.
• Strong knowledge of means and methods, cost control, and labor/material market conditions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, scopes and project requirements.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, design development and detailed estimates.
• Prepare budgets, cost plans, bid packages and value-engineering recommendations.
• Identify risks, exclusions, allowances and opportunities in preconstruction.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, PMs and trade partners.
• Oversee subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling and final estimate reconciliation.
• Mentor estimators and preconstruction team members; contribute to procurement strategy.
