Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to oversee the complete preconstruction process from concept to design and contractor selection. You will guide projects from early design through construction while maintaining the Owner's budget, coordinating phasing and contracting, and keeping the design team on schedule.

You will work closely with Project/Program Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Owners to ensure professional service and a strong value proposition for clients;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science or Construction Management.
• 7–10 years of experience in pre-construction/estimating for large institutional projects.
• Advanced knowledge of construction cost estimating, conceptual budgeting, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains positive relationships with Client and Architect/Engineer contacts to facilitate project execution.
• Attend client meetings and ceremonies; maintain regular contact to ensure satisfaction with progress and results.
• Regularly participate in presentations to secure new work for the company.
• Prepare detailed estimates (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction).
• Lead the bidding process; create bid packages and analyze bids from subcontractors and vendors.
• Coordinate preliminary construction schedule and ensure it aligns with estimates.
• Lead transfer meetings between project team and preconstruction team; coordinate follow-up meetings.
• Oversee accuracy of estimates, drawings, specs, and other construction documents.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and support business development presentations.
