Job summary

ContractStaffingRecruiters.com in Marlborough, MA seeks an experienced Bid Estimator in precast prestressed concrete to drive dynamic bidding processes.

You will track projects, review bid documents, prepare labor and materials estimates, and coordinate with engineering, purchasing, production, and field operations to develop detailed proposals. Travel to the Northeast and CT offices is expected. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Project, AutoCad and BIM is preferred.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Construction, Architecture or Structural Eng with 5+ years in precast prestressed concrete.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
• Understanding of architectural and structural concepts in precast concrete construction.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and MS Project.
• Familiarity with AutoCad & BIM modeling is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Own transportation for travel within Northeast U.S. and to Main Office in CT.

Responsibilities

• Track projects for bidding and obtain bid documents.
• Review and interpret bid drawings, specs, and contracts.
• Prepare detailed labor and materials estimates.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, production, hauling and field operations.
• Prepare bid proposals and negotiate contract scope.
• Report and document all bid-related correspondence.
