Job summary

Siemens Software in the United States is seeking a Polarion ALM PreSales specialist to engage with the Sales team, understand customer needs, and demonstrate the technical capabilities of the Polarion ALM solution. You will translate business requirements into compelling demonstrations while supporting solution positioning and value delivery.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years' PreSales/Technical Consulting
• 3+ years with requirement management
• Polarion knowledge a plus
• Knowledge of Agile/SAFe/V-Model/Scrum
• Java development, Velocity & Wiki scripting, HTML, Subversion, PostgreSQL
• Requirement engineering, Configuration management, Version management, Change management, Problem tracking, Task management, Project management
• Familiarity with AI technologies
• Experience with tools like IBM Doors, Jira, Codebeamer, Jama, HP ALM, Azure DevOps, Git/GitHub, Bitbucket
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Customer-focused mindset
• Willingness to learn new technologies

Responsibilities

• Gather high level customer business and technical requirements and determine customers' business needs as part of the sales effort
• Support the selection of technology suites and proposal development for solution process improvements
• Contributes to sales pursuit milestones
• Work closely with Sales to ensure successful closure of the sales process
• Develop customized solutions in demonstrations and proof-of-value activities
• Contribute to responses to RFIs/RFPs as part of the sales effort
• Build relationships with PreSales, Sales, Services, and Partners
• Interface with the services project team to ensure smooth transition from Sale to Delivery
• Engage in product training to maintain high product knowledge
• Develop job-related expertise and communication skills
