Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA INC. is seeking a seasoned technical sales professional to provide pre-sales expertise for FACTS transmission solutions.

You will support the sales organization with technical demonstrations, tender coordination, and cross-team collaboration to deliver customer-focused outcomes. The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in FACTS projects, and readiness to travel up to 40–50% across NAM.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems.
• Minimum of 10 years of tender and project work within FACTS transmission applications.
• Authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Extensive experience with FACTS system design, analysis, simulations, and calculations.
• Hands-on knowledge of PSSE, PSCAD/EMTDC, RTDS, and related platforms.
• Background with VSC-based converters and MACH control systems.
• Strong budgeting, deadlines management and complex interface handling.
• Excellent English communication and willingness to travel up to 40–50% across NAM.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and stakeholders to understand needs and deliver value-driven solutions.
• Provide pre-sales technical expertise to support sales and tendering activities.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and articulate strong value propositions.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver optimized technical solutions for the sales process.
• Act as technical coordinator for tenders and own the technical solution.
• Identify optimized solutions by working within the global Hitachi Energy FACTS network.
