Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
  • Four years of related university or business experience in budgets, project management, or proposal administration.
  • Experience with external sponsored proposals, grants, or similar funding applications.
  • Experience interpreting policies, guidelines, regulations, funding opportunities, or other complex requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with PIs and offices during proposal development.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary pre-award contact for assigned PIs, departments, colleges, or units.
  • Develop and manage proposal timelines, checklists, and submission plans.
  • Review funding opportunity announcements and sponsor instructions.
  • Coordinate with Research Compliance, Finance, HR, Procurement during proposal development.
  • Prepare, review, and facilitate proposal submissions through sponsor portals.
  • Maintain complete proposal records in Maestro and related systems.
  • Provide one-on-one consultation on proposal development, budgeting, and sponsor requirements.
